VCDS or ODIS are recommended but any bi-directional OBDII scan tool should be able to perform that procedure.

Its possible that there is also a power steering rack mechanical failure which are the C-Codes. We dont rebuild the power steering rack at the moment however we do repair the power steering module that mounts to it. Ensure none of the pins that are sticking out of the power steering rack are bent or broken.
